Artist's Description
Arroyo Seco Bridge Pasadena: 11X8.5 Acrylic on #140 Strathmore. I spent the day trying to recreate a painting I sold back in 2011 for a new exhibition called “HOME SHOW” Opening Reception: Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 5-8pm at the Malaga Cove Library 2400 Via Campesina Palos Verdes Estates, Ca 90274 . It was a huge improvement in light details so I’m happy to be forced into this repeat.

Excellent composition and application!. The reflected light in the under pass is magic!
Randy Sprout replied:
Thank you very much my friend! That light lasted lest than 4 minutes as I was painting it. Like a huge sun dial this bridge wiped out the magic light so very fast.

Thanks Warren, at the end of this painting that was literally what I was doing, dripping light through where I thought it might go. My photographs of this scene are pathetic, with no water at all in the river, so I was thrilled when this came out looking like fast moving water in the shade! It's going into a big snooty show this week which open Dec 4th, so I will let you know what happens.
